In the picturesque Swiss village Herznach, situated in the Aargau canton iron ore was mined during centuries. When it ran low the mines of the local mining enterprise were closed almost for 40 years. However in 2002 the tunnels were reconstructed and turned into the recreational center for tourists. the enterprise that was closed earlier has become an original gastronomic center of the region. Now in the former mine you can stay over and have a delicious breakfast in the morning. Herznach is situated halfway between Zurich and Basel.
