The Favorite Vacation Spots of Europeans are Majorca and Minorca |
| According the results of a sociologic poll held by the German Urlaub Perfekt magazine, the favorite vacation spots of the inhabitants of West Europe are Spanish islands Majorca and Minorca. Turkey is second among the countries, in which the majority of European people prefer to spend their holidays. The third in the rating of the most popular directions became, thanks to the European tourists, Greece. Though, once beloved resorts of Italy and Tunisia now turned out to be in the end of the hit parade, on the 133 and 120 places, correspondingly. The research is based upon the statistics, provided by 1 208 of tour operators, working on the territory of Germany. During the research there was also a place for some funny paradoxes. Thus, turned out to be the second favorite country of European tourists, Turkey also became one of the leaders according to the number of negative feedback about its hotels. According to the participants of the research, only the resorts of Tunisia can be worse. In the year 2007 Turkey received about 23 million of guests, the half of which was Russian and German citizens. This year the tourist industry of the country already reckons upon 26 millions of visitors. |
