The authorities of Dubai have announced that the control of spreading drugs has been significantly increased: in case of detecting light drugs (even in very small amount), prohibited medicines and other doubtful substances, the traveler will be imprisoned for 4 years in the UAE.

The security services are recommending foreigners to check carefully their clothes and luggage before their departure to the United Arab Emirates. Some time ago a Briton was arrested because in his shoe 0,003 grams of marijuana were found. Now the supersensitive equipment is used for drugs detecting. It can discern even the smallest parts of any substance.

Besides of drugs, many kinds of medicines are prohibited, for example the codeine which is contained in anesthetic and anti-catarrh medicines. In addition, it is prohibited to transport papaverous seeds: as "The Independent" reports, recently a tourist was arrested because a couple of seeds of the eaten bun were found on his clothes. In spite of the fact that the United Arab Emirates have become one of the most popular directions for traveling, the local authorities are not going to soften the security measures and are asking tourists for understanding.
