New Year Fireworks Again in Zurich

A grand firework shall be organized again on the New Year’s Eve in Zurich. This show has been arranged by the local hotels already for seven years. The firework shall take place from 0.20 a.m. to 0.40 a.m. over the Zurich Lake. Mobile bars and stands with various national dishes shall be arranged on its banks.

The Zurich public transport, including local trains S-Bahn, shall work till 4.00 a.m. Starting with 1.00 a.m., you shall have to pay an extra night charge in the amount of 5 francs ($4) besides the usual fare. Transport officers recommend buying this night ticket in advance to avoid standing in long queues at night. Besides, after the firework ends, trains shall go to Bern, Basel and east Switzerland. Thus, the show shall be available not only to citizens and guests of Zurich, but to people from virtually whole German-speaking part of the country as well.
