There are reasons why Venice is considered to be one of the most romantic places in the world. Graceful boats that glide above the water smooth of the canals, beautiful buildings and unforgettable show of carnival – that’s the short list of things, that draws and attracts the tourists from all over the world.

Forthcoming New Year in this wonderful city will be celebrated in a special way that perfectly fits to its image. On the central square San-Marco several thousand people will gather in order to… kiss.

One of Love-2008 action organizer, Silvia Napolitano, says: “Kiss is a very simple thing, but at the same time a delightful one”. Collective kiss at midnight of 31st of December should become the symbol of love and peace. About 60 thousand people intend to celebrate New Year in such a wonderful way. Both Italians and foreigners are included in this number.
