How do you like the idea to celebrate New Year under water? No, we are not talking about diving. It’s about all-out movement under water. By now thousands of plans and projects suggest to construct buildings not even on islands, but under water. All over the world people build underwater hotels – on Bali Island, in China, in Italy. But in United Arab Emirates it’s already constructed!

In December the first underwater hotel in the world Hydropolis opened its doors for visitors. The hotel is constructed in Dubai near one of the well-known “palm” islands. This complex is located by 20 meters below Red Sea level near the coastline. The construction costs of this grandiose building made up slightly more than $600 million.

This is a real underwater resort that has 220 rooms. On the adjacent territory of 300 km sq are located commercial centers, clubs, restaurants, cinemas and, most importantly, an up-to-date security system, because visitors will be situated under water.

Underwater hotel offers its guests a great number of entertainments and places for leisure. The unique design emphasizes the singularity of structures, prevalent smooth lines as if they were carved by the waves. But the roof remains the most interesting thing; special section provides the sensation of staying in the open.
