Rio-de-Janeiro city beaches have been cleaned. (3 Apr. 2008) - Lots of the popular beaches on the most attended resorts of this planet are totally dirty, because the tourists bury their garbage in the sand, thinking that if it is not seen at first sight - it does not exist. Well, let us tell the truth, most of us have already stumbled upon a bottle cork on the beach or occasionally with the toe dug a cigarette filter out of the sand and that was surely not a very pleasant event, wasn't it? Well, in Rio-de-Janeiro the citizens have decided to clean up the beaches themselves, and also to explain to the present tourists the importance of keeping the sea ecosystems in a clean state.
The biggest floating Christmas-tree in the world is installed in Brazil (3 Dec. 2007) - In the Brazilian city Rio de Janeiro the main Christmas-tree of the city is installed. Its height is 85 m that is approximately equal to height of a 28-storeyed house.
